Whiskey was my pick from the "Folk Songs" litter, bred by Karla Smith DVM of RiverRun Sighthounds, out of the the lovely and very talented Lotus (BIF DC Valinor's Circuit de Monaco at RiverRun SC, GRC, FCh, RN, CGC, VLAA) and Py (BIF DC Avalon Victorian Pyre, CGC, GRC, RTD3, SC, FCh, DT, DCh, RE, TT, VLAA, V-FCh). Whiskey is co-owned with Karla (tho she and he will tell you he is all mine) Whiskey's litter is the first borzoi litter I have ever had the pleasure of helping raise and although I love all of them dearly, Whiskey made it very clear by 4wks that he was mine.

Whiskey has black eyes, tiny ears, scissors bite, full dentition, big front, tiny back/long loin. He has tons of prey drive and a long memory. We completed his CGC at just 23wks of age and he earned his first Rally Novice leg at just 8mons, due to a broken toe he wasn't able to compete for about 4mons but at just a little over 1yr we finish his RN. It was a very proud day for both of us since he was the first dog I had ever competed in Rally with.

Whiskey was 1st in 18-21mon Dogs in Futurity at BCOA 2013 Nationals. We have been letting him mature but hoping to get him out on the field and into the ring more Spring of 2014.

Whiskey was BOB 2 days in a row at the Decatur show May 26-27, 2014 for his first conformation points

Whiskey was 1st in open at his first lure coursing trial and won a 4pt major!! Very proud of how well this boy is doing

2 days of coursing in OH and Whiskey got a 2nd and 3rd and 4 more points toward his AKC FC

Whiskey finished his SC going 2nd coursing in NC which brings him to 11pts and 1 major

Whiskey got his final major and finished his FC on 5/2/15 going BOB in OH for a 4pt major.

Whiskey was WD 2 days and RWD 7/9-7/11/15, sadly the major broke on all 3 days but he now has 6pts towards his conformation CH.
Whiskey was BOS Sat and BOB Sun for 5 more points and his first major at the Stone City shows in IL on 10/10-10/11/15.

Whiskey finished his CH under Joe Gregory going WD for his last major on 3/5/17. He was only owner handled by Karla and I. He is my first conformation Champion and Dual Champion.

Whiskey has retired and is enjoying holding down my couch.
